Fuerteventura - The bedrock of the Canary Islands

Fuerteventura, the oldest of the Canary Islands, is still one of the most popular islands for tourists.
150 kilometres of sandy white beaches, a unique volcanic landscape invites sun worshippers, sports enthusiasts but also many other guests to stay in a great landscape.
The wild and untouched nature on Fuerteventura is home to a variety of animals and plants.
The shifting sand dunes of Corralejo in the interior are particularly popular as an excursion destination - so you don't necessarily have to go to the Sahara to see the desert.

Other excursion destinations worth seeing are the Isla de los Lobos off the north coast, which is still completely uninhabited and from whose northernmost point you can see Lanzarote.
Puerto del Rosario, the capital of the sparsely populated island, attracts many visitors, especially because of the harbour and the Calle Leon Y Castillo with its numerous shopping opportunities and many different restaurants and cafés.
