La Palma - the youngest island of the canaries

La Palma is the youngest of the Canary Islands with an area of about 728 square kilometres.
La Palma is often called "the beautiful island" and knows how to impress nature lovers in particular - it was declared the third most beautiful island of the Canaries by the UNESO.

Hiking is especially popular with holidaymakers on La Palma. However, there is no need to fear a mass influx of tourists on La Palma; they are more likely to be found in Puerto Naos in the west and in Los Cancajos in the east.
A hiking trip to the volcanic crater San Antonio and Teneguía in the south is particularly popular.
Teneguia is the most recent volcano in the Canary Islands to erupt, in 1971.
An eruption that is still noticeable in the landscape of La Palma today.
The capital of the island is Santa Cruz de la Palma with only 16,184 inhabitants. Here, too, pleasant temperatures invite you to swim on the beaches all year round.
If you want to get away from it all and also escape mass tourism, La Palma is the place for you.
