La Graciosa - The little sister of Lanzarote
The smallest inhabited island in the Canaries has only been an autonomous region since 2018. On just 29 square kilometres, about 600 inhabitants live on the small island. The landscape is considered very dry and barren, but there are wonderful beaches on the island. La Graciosa can only be reached from the north of Lanzarote by passenger ferry. There are no paved roads on the island and only a handful of registered cars. Thus, the island is a paradise for dropouts or people who want to switch off completely. The desert-like island offers fascinating beauty and also a little bit of adventure, as it is hardly developed.
There are only two small villages on the island, which are seen as places of sight. Likewise, the beautiful and wild beach of Las Conchas is a place of interest. Deep blue water, strong waves and light sand form the image of the beach. The island is also known for the Montana Amarilla and the dream beach Playa Francesca. You won't find any hotels on this small island, so a holiday flat or a day trip from Lanzerote is a good option.
